800 entries were submitted, yet only 80 people submitted demo tapes. Out of those 80, 20 finalists were chosen to compete on East Coast Radio, and I was one of them.
After completing a voice evaluation and test, we were taken to Umhlanga beach for a gruelling 'Survivor Exercise'.
On a Saturday I was given a 15-minute slot on the Mel Massyn Show to exhibit my talent. The judges selected me to participate in the semi-finals. I did not reach the final round, but it sure was a super fun learning experience.

I was featured as Rainmaker for the Year 2009 for my outstanding sales performance, for year-on-year growth and for exceeding targets since 2007.
